December:Christmas,The Birth Of Our SAVIOUR MESSIAH

December is the most excited and awaited month of the year. What comes into your mind, when you hear about the month of December? Isn't it its CHRISTMAS? December 25 is Christmas Day and it is the most significant date of the year because it is the birth of our SAVIOUR MESSIAH, Jesus Christ.

We simply celebrate the start of Christmas by attending the 9-day morning mass, the "MISA de GALLEO" which starts from December 16. What is the true essence of Christmas? Christmas is the time of forgiving some one's mistake from the past, acceptance, sharing and loving. By means of these, we have already spread the true spirit and essence of Christmas. Christmas day is a very meaningful and momentous day to everybody because even though Christmas hasn't come, you will witnessed every body's house decorated with different Christmas decorations. When night falls you will be amazed with the house lighted with colorful and bright Christmas lights and hanged with many kinds of lanterns. Lastly, you will see children outside caroling and holding their maracas, tambourine, drums and many more.

Everybody wishes to receive a gift. For me, it doesn't matter whether I received gifts or not but the most important is my community will become more progressive, peaceful and will soar high in the future. Although I am a student, still I have the capability to help my constituents by donating unused clothes, solicit donations to those who are gold-hearted or affluent in the society who can sense what is happening to their place and whether their donations are in kind or cash. Lastly, I will call the attention of the higher form of government to do an immediate action about the condition of their place.

So let us rejoice this Christmas and extend our love of our hearts through forgiving, accepting, sharing and loving not only in Christmas but throughout the year.

NOVEMBER, What A Significant Month!

November, what a significant month for me!

November, is the 11th month of our 12-month calendar. Every month has significant events to be celebrated in our country. The most common event we always celebrate in November is the All Saint's Day (1) and All Soul's Day (2).

In our school, we celebrate the "FILIPINO-VALUES MONTH CELEBRATION" with the theme "Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon". The club sponsored different activities like the kite flying, slogan and poster making, essay, morning trivia and many more.

November 16, 2009 was a significant date to all of us Ilocanos especially here in Ilocos Sur, specifically in the town of Caoayan. Why? because we commemorate the 119th Birth Anniversary of the great and illustrious son of Caoayan-Former President Elpidio Mendoza Rivera-Quirino(my great grandfather/relative). "Pidiong" was a man of gracious manner, dignified in bearing, gifted in counsel and skilled in the discovery of solutions to problems. It was Monday and its a holiday to the whole province of Ilocos Sur, when we celebrated the Quirino Day. Some clubs in our school attended the Floral Offering in the front of the Quirino Monument near the Provincial Capitol. It is the same in Caoayan, they celebrated the Quirino Day by having a requiem mass and floral offering in front of the Quirino Shrine in the facade of the Caoayan Municipal Hall.

Last November 18,2009 was the Division-Step Skills Competition which was held at the ISNHS Centennial Gymnasium participated by the different Secondary schools in the city. There are different activities like Techno-Quiz, Electronic Poster, Cocktail Mixing, Table Skirting and many more. The school was so proud because our candidate coming from the ISNHS represented our division in the Regional Competition at Mangaldan National High School, Mangaldan, Pangasinan.

November 26-28 was the three(3)-day CITY MEET which as held at the ISNHS and attended by the different districts and secondary schools around the Vigan City Division. The City Meet has several games played by the different skillful players of each school. The city meet was watched/witnessed by many people because the players showed excellence in the way perform the games.

The month of November was indeed successful and fruitful because all of the activities were carried out smoothly. All of these activities gives a lot of benefits to us because it molds our skills, self-confidence and wholesome personality. Only what I can say "EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER"

"Next Phase of My Life"

As we go and live in the surface of the earth new innovations/information and discoveries we can encounter in our life. As this saying goes this way"LIFE MUST GO ON". This means this is a part of our life which is a non-stop. The best example of it is a cycle.

It's almost end of the Second Grading Period in the TLE-Computer Education still it doesn't mean that the knowledge we have learned is over. It's not and not yet over. As time goes by, new knowledge or innovations we learned. For this Second Grading Period, I learned a lot about HTML, web standards,HTML Editor and Basic HTML Tags. These are the lessons that i've learned and this is all about how to make a simple HTML File.

Last grading period, I encountered some problems like mountainous assignments but now it is different. Sometimes I am confused about the HTML in our activity and most for me it's the rushing of the class requirements or unannounced test.

Although how hard life, still these problems that I've encountered with in this grading period and the entire of my life will serves as my inspiration and guide in making or building my dreams. No matter how hard it is, still I will do everything in order my life would become fruitful and successful.

Teacher: EMPOWERING Young Minds for GLOBAL SUCCESS

Theme: " My Teacher, My Hero"

Everybody looks for a hero in life. Whether he is our National Hero, Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal,Former Senator Benigno " Ninoy" Aquino, Jr.,Mother Theresa, U.S. President Barack Obama, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, First Lady President of the Philippine Republic Former President Maria Corazon "Cory" Sumulong Cojuangco-Aquino, the soldiers fighting for their lives, the overseas workers, our dad, our mom, or any body could be a hero in one's eye. But for me, I focus my eyes, my heart and my mind to my dearly beloved "TEACHER".

We always hear the quotation "WITHOUT TEACHERS,NO LAWYERS, NO DOCTORS AND NO NURSES". THAT'S right! Without Teachers all of them are nothing. Why? because teachers are the one who molds or secondly building up their students In the future. Our teachers serve us our second parents whenever when we are in our school. Teachers are very important to us not just to their profession, teaching but important to as our guide and counselors in the future. They are the one who teaches us the right thing. They are also the one who teaches us the right thing. They are also the one who gives or teaches us the correct, genuine lessons and information's.

Teachers can be our friend or a hero. Teachers can be a friend in a way that there are times that they will join us in laughing, in cracking jokes or sharing some stories. How about as a HERO? " A TRUE TEACHER DEFENDS HIS PUPIL AGAINST HIS OWN PERSONAL INFLUENCE" This quotation means that our teachers can be a hero in a way that they will help us in our problems, protect us when we are in bad situations like when we quarrel or when we enter to the situations that we can't solve without them. Lastly, they also scolds and discipline us when we do something wrong.

Teachers are very important to us not only in their profession but as a part of our lives. Let us value our Teachers because we don't know what they can do to our country. Don Elpidio Rivera-Quirino, whom my great grandfather, a native and Town's Most Illustrious Son of Caoayan who started as a Barrio Teacher until he became the Sixth President of the Philippine Republic. Only what I can say " Teachers: Turning Today’s Learner, Into Tomorrow's Leader.”

Their campaign is much appreciated also by the Department of Education because this campaign is also on of their objectives in the School Education. This will let the students to speak in English and Filipino fluently.

Speaking in English and Filipino properly with kindness should be done always because this will show proof or evidence that you know how to use the language in good and right way . How can we apply proper kindness when we speak Filipino or English? By how? When you ask something though it is little put the word " PLEASE or KINDLY" at the beginning or end of your statement. For example " Please pass the rice or Kindly pass the rice". How about in Filipino? just add "PAKI". For example " Paki sara nga iyong pinto" This are the simple ways of speaking ENGLISH OR FILIPINO language properly with kindness by just not commanding with out proper manner.

Speaking in English or Filipino or with different language/dialect properly with kindness is so important because this shows that you have " LANGUAGE ETIQUETTE"
